May 2, 2011

Hi,
So I just got a email from dad saying he wasn't going to give in and buy another car. haha. A truck that is sweet. It will work for hauling Bryson around a lot better! And they won? They have some good talent but only with teamwork will they do anything good. Isn't it awesome to be a leader. As a district leader my favorite part is being able to pray about the missionaries in my district individually and to ask Heavenly father how I can help them. And then to assign meetings and trainings to help them. I know that you are already awesome at that. It is funny how many times we have a problem and realize that we aren't doing what has already been given to us in the scriptures and by the prophets such as we hand books and general conference talks. I'm sure you are a great young womens leader.
Well the weather here is awesome it took like two days and all the trees bloomed and we haven't worn our jackets all week. It is almost too hot though with all the humidity. But way better than wearing suits everywhere. Now everyone knows that we are Mormons haha because of the white shirt and tie. Elder Foust and I have been having a blast. I kinda feel I have to do everything but he has come a long way and he teaches me a lot. For easter he bought everyone in our apartment easter baskets and he made me dinner the other night. Sometimes you have to let people serve you and then they feel better about life. Yesterday the sisters from LP1 ward had a baptism so I volunteered us to fill the fount for them and we woke up at 430 to get to the church by 6 it was a long day. I don't really remember a lot that happened this week it all went by so fast. I'll tell you what I remember though.
Okay I can only rememeber from Saturday and on Saturday Elder Koerper and I went on tours and it was so much fun. I was in a car area and it was so easy. I told him afterwards that car areas isn't real missionary work haha. Being in the city and having people constantly around you to talk to is fun but stressful. I have a hard time when I don't talk to everyone and beat myself up for it. Our ward is starting to all go home and that is sad because then we won't have dinner appointments or anything and it will be back to street contacting all day. Yesterday we had like half as many people than usual at church. But we are going to be at the bishops this Saturday to help him with some remodeling the bishops wife came and talked to us and it was cool because she was like we need to get this work done and bishop is so busy so we told her we would love to help.
That is all I can really remember... I will tell you a cool experience that we had last night though it was a great night. Last night Jian our chinese investigator told us that he wanted to make us some authentic chinese food. So we went to his house and he was cooking for us and he invited his friend who is here for a study exchange and is a professor at the #2 school in China and doing some research here. We talked with him and had a great time at dinner which was way fun. Then afterwards Jian asked us if we could teach his friend Yang about the Mormon church and the Mormon Bible. So we started to teach him about Heavenly Father and prayer. He had amazing questions and knew god was there so that was way cool. Then when we were talking about prayer Jian started to teach him and it was so funny he started asking the same questions that we ask him when we met with him. Like how do you feel when you pray and different things. It was like a little kid but super awesome then we had both Jian say a closing prayer and then his friend and it was an awesome prayer. Then after the prayer we gave him a Book of Mormon and I told him that it would help him come closer to god and he loved it. After I shared my testimony, He told me I know by the look in your eyes that what your saying is true. He said he wanted to come to church and I hope he does but he was a great guy and in tune with the spirit. It is a lot of fun meeting new people and there are miracles everyday I wish I could tell you them. They aren't huge but they are there.
Well Happy Mothers Day this next Sunday and I will call you on Saturday night to set up a time we can call on Sunday. Your awesome mom and dad is as well. All my family is the best. I hope that you have a great week and i pray for you as well trust in the lord and everything will be fine. Thank you for everything that you do for me.
Love Beau :)

Howdy,
This week was such a great week probably one of my favorite weeks this far in my mission. First of all Elder Zwick from the seventy came to tour our mission and second was that Roxane was baptized and to top it all off was that it was Easter and we were taken care of by our ward they gave us way too much candy! That is our week in a nutshell..
It is good to hear that things are busy at home. I'm sure that it is only getting busier and busier with the wedding and end of school year it always is a crazy time. That is great that you had the opportunity to share your testimony twice at church on Sunday. Isn't it the greatest feeling!! It is by far the best thing that any person can do is to share a heartfelt testimony of things that are so close to them. When Elder Zwick was here he told us that when we are teaching to shorten our testimonies and to make them more basic and then to share them with power. At the end he left 30 minutes for the missionaries to share their testimonies in 1 minute or less and it was so great to feel the power because people only have a minute so they say how they really feel and share what matters most to them. I feel like a lot of people love to drag their testimonies on and on sometimes.
Also another thing that Elder Zwick told us is that we need to build a firm foundation. That while on our missions, we need to get to know Jesus Christ the best that we can and to spiritually grow our entire missions. If we do that then we will see miracles and we will have a greater desire to work harder and to do the best that we can. It is cool having a general authority there to talk with and hear their experiences of how they got where they are and all the times that they lived on faith to accomplish something. Elder Zwick also held a fireside for all of the ward councils to be a part of and he talked about member missionary work and if the members work with us then our work can improve by 5 times! hopefully we can get more help and work harder to impress and develop the trust of the wards.
Then Saturday we had the baptism and it went really well there were at least 50 probably more people there to support Roxane in her decision. She is so awesome. Just ready to receive the gospel from day one. I was able to give a talk on baptism which was sweet. I love giving talks then the pressure is on me to learn enough to share something that is important for everyone there. I got some pictures and will send them home soon.
Sunday Roxane was confirmed and it went really well then we had an awesome sacrament meeting where we had musical numbers and then in between we had testimonies by members and it was sweet there are some extremely talented musicians in our ward. After church I did a baptismal interview and then went to a members home for Easter dinner. It was a huge dinner with about 20 maybe 25 members there and we got to know some members I hadn't meet too much before and talked about their careers which are really cool. They were teachers in the innercity at high schools. Then at the end of dinner Elder Foust and I got to share a spiritual message. We first invited a couple members to share their testimonies and they were such great testimonies. Then We talked about Christ resurrection and how he told peter to feed his sheep and how Jesus wouldn't ever tell us to do something that wasn't the best thing for us. And I shared my testimony and then Elder Foust shared his testimony.
We then left dinner and were walking home a different way than I usually would go because I thought that it would be faster. We were walking down a street and I was thinking we should've went the other way where there would be people we could talk to. Just as I was thinking that this guy walks around the corner and pointed at us and said "I told you I would see you guys again." I had no idea who he was at first. I was thinking what am I going to do. Then I had kind of a flash back moment when we meet him down the street from our house and we gave him a Book of Mormon with a Word of wisdom pamphlet in it because he was smoking. I asked him if he read the Book of Mormon yet and he told me that he hadn't but that he needed too. Then I shared my testimony of the book and he said he was reading another book. I then told him that the book was so good that by the things we teach I could still remember his name (we met him like 3 weeks ago and talk to hundreds of people a day). He then asked me what is my name. I told him that it was Glenn. And he freaked out and couldn't believe I remembered. He didn't seem to interested in anything at that time and we went our separate ways, but it was a cool experience the Lord leads us to places that we are supposed to be in if we are being obedient to his commandments and he won't let us go astray. Also the spirit helped me remember his name and everything that we talked with him about on the street 3 weeks ago or so. This is the best thing I could be doing no matter how hard it may be our how awkward situations may seem sometimes. I can't wait to talk to you guys on mothers day it will be great. I love you and hope you have a great week.

Hello,
So Roxanne didn't get baptized this past Sunday but she is going to get baptized this next week on Saturday. I am really excited for her choice. We waited another week so we didn't have to cram all the lessons in so fast. I get worried baptizing people so fast sometimes because they aren't completely ready and then they fall away. Roxanne though is ready and has been she is super awesome and i am priviledged to be able to teach her and help her. So this Saturday and I am excited.
This past week we had some interesting times. I have decided that I want to learn more about other religions so Elder Foust and I went to some different religions. We went to an Islam 101 class and learned a little about what they believed and also we went to a bible study at a guys house who likes to bible bash with us and listened to his opinions and sang christian songs with him. It was fun and a good learning experience.
Elder Foust is the man. He is such a stud and has come a long way since the MTC. He still has some work to do but who doesn't?. So we are just working and seeing what we can do to improve daily. He has been waking up on time lately which is awesome and he is going to start running with me in the mornings. I can't wait to have a companion that will actually go outside wtih me and work out. It is ten times better to work out outside rather than in our small dinky apartment.
Yesterday was pday and also patriots day. So we woke up at 3AM and went to the reenactment of the battle of Lexington it was super cool. Well kinda cool. It was more out of tradition I guess all the missionaries always go. And it was worth the experience. Also there were missionaries from all over the mission there which was sweet. I saw some of my buddies from the MTC. Then we went to the temple and it was a great experience as well. After that I was so tired that I went to sleep for 3 hours and Elder Foust crashed as well so we didn't make it to the Boston Marathon. That is okay with me though because I would rather be rested for the week than to be exhausted and not work as hard.
After Pday we went to Bishop Maitlands house to eat and his wife is an amazing cook. All of it is New England style too. We had new england style strawberry shortcake and shrimp and chicken and potatoes and corn and salad. Just a huge meal. Bishop and his wife are amazing people. I love being able to go over there and to talk with them about their experiences in life. Just awesome. We have developed a good relationship with them and are probably going to help them tear down some walls in their house so they can remodel. It will be fun.
I am really focusing on trying to get to know members better and develop friendships it is the best thing we can do. We have tons of nonmembers at church but they are scared to ask their friends to meet us. It is a step that needs to happen though.
Well we are trying... I sometimes wish I had someone that would motivate me more and help me do missionary work but I know thatI am here for a reason and that Elder Foust is my comp for a reason so I will help him the best I can. I never feel adequate for the job. We also had interviews with president and he is so loving and amazing he just complimented me and said I know what your going through just endure it and everything will be fine. I can do more than endure though.

I love you mom your the greatest. and I testify to you that the lord helps us as long as we are willing to give away our sins and to follow him a little bit better everyday he will help us. Prayer is real and it takes a lot of work to really receive answers sometimes but he does answer and he does love us. I realize how much that you have done for me mom and dad and I can never thank you enough your the greatest. Take care and have a wonderful weeek.

Hi,
Today is our pday because of transfers and I am staying one more here. The Assistants to President asked what I wanted and I told them that I wanted to leave and get a new area. Then I realized that it isn't about what I want and I texted them later that night and said that I would do whatever they needed of me. I think that since Elder Foust has only been here for a week he doesn't know the area or the ward too well so I need to show him how it works here. In our mission it is very likely that people will stay in their first area around 7-9 months or more so it is just normal. Out of the people that came out with me only 2 of us are in our first area still. I really like it here it is just a lot of pressure I feel like... President has to always have good missionaries here in our stake because our stake has a lot of well known people that are very big influences for the church and if he sends some missionaries that do something stupid it would be very bad for the area.
This past week was good conference was good. I really liked the talks that talk about how to change who you are on the inside rather than who you are on the outside. I realize there are so many people that will do everything right when they are seen but then nobody is around and they are a completely different person. We have to learn how to learn who we are and what we want to become.
This week was a slow week I was just merely enduring to the end rather than trying to work hard and get something done. I hate when I get into that mode, but I always seem to come out of it. We had some cool dinner appointments and also at conference we had 3 investigators there. Roxanne is awesome she watched all the sessions of conference all on her own and then she goes to all the activities. She is so ready for baptism but is scared about what her family will think and she wants it to be positive on her family so she is trying to help them. Also we have Jian who came to conference and he brought a friend it was so sweet. All of these Chinese people are awesome they are great and they love to learn about God we just need to get him to read from the Book of Mormon. Andrew is another guy that came to conference he is really busy working and what not so we are trying to meet with him and get him to be more serious about investigating. It is hard right in the middle of the semester. I think that after the semester ends things will be a lot easier to schedule things.
Sorry my English is diminishing and my paragraphs aren't too organized. Ha I just try to write fast. That is awesome about Tyla playing soccer and I did write her a letter and sent pictures home yesterday so you should get them soon. I haven't been too good at taking a lot of pictures. I am always exhausted and barely have time to eat some nights. I miss Bryson and his friends they are all so funny a great group of guys. Bryson will tear it up at AAU. Who all is going to be playing on his team? Is it all the Provo High guys or are some of them playing on other teams? It would be lame if the whole team isn't going to play together that is why west Jordan was so good and beat lone peak because they always played AAU together all summer. Mckay is a stud and just tell him to have fun and learn to work hard and improve as long as he is improving then that is the most important thing that he can learn is to work and set goals and then achieve them. Getting hand outs and favors from coaches isn't worth anything and won't get anyone anywhere.
Thanks for everything.
Take care and have a great week!!

Hi mother,
Sooooo you will never believe what happened this week, but before I get to that I promise to send pictures to you by next Wednesday:) I don't know if I have taken that many because I have been in the same area so long but I will take a bunch and print them and send them home.
This week... was crazy. So I was trying to get a hold of president to ask if I could go to the BYU Hawaii game and he said I couldn't and that instead he was going to give me a new companion and split up our trio. On Wednesday I got a new comp and it is Elder Foust my MTC companion.... haha He is super cool and a great guy. He kinda has been thrown around a lot and this is his 5 area already. Where I am in my first area and the Assistants to the president called and asked me if he would be my comp. I told them yes and then they said that I most likely will have to stay in the same area for another transfer which will make 9 months in this area.
I love it here though even though I may be a little bipolar on the area I do love it. It just gets exhausting to talk with everyone you see all day everyday and have only a few appointments scheduled a week. Also we walk close to 12 miles a day which is a good amount and I have a feeling that I am going to get Elder Foust into good shape. It will be fun. I have been easing him into walking more and more so far each day and we have only been comps for 4 days and last night he went to sleep at 8 oclock.
Well we had some cool experiences this week and we have met some cool people. Right now we have a few investigators that are slowly progressing and then we have Roxanne who is awesome. She has been researching the church and what not and I explained what it feels like to feel the spirit and she didn't really feel like she felt like that so she went to lds.org and typed in feelings from the spirit and researched a bunch of talks till she found one that related to her. She is awesome and ready to be baptized but is scared what her family will say. She hasn't asked her family what they will say yet though so who knows maybe it won't be a big deal she told us that she will ask this week sometime though and that will be good.
Jian our other investigator from China (Elder Yim isn't my companion so we don't have a chinese interpreter) but Jian speaks decent English. He has a problem accepting God because he is a scientist and grew up learning that we are only here because of merely science. He thinks that we came from monkeys 50 % and %0 % that we came from God. We are working on getting him to pray and receive answers from his prayers. He is really awesome but just with no background in Christianity it is really slow for him to get a testimony.
Jim (who Elder Yim and Larsen) are now teaching because they cover the Charles River Ward (Elder Foust and I cover the LP2 ward) is doing really good. He is still meeting with the missionaries and they said he had an awesome experience where he confessed a sin and feels better. It was a huge step for Jim and I really want him to be baptized. It is all about people and being ready at the right time in the right place for them.
I realize that when I go out and have a real smile on my face and am enjoying what I am doing that people are more interested in listening to me. Also I need to have the spirit with me to have that real smile. As I do that Ii have more fun people listen to me and then I can share my testimony with them and invite them to listen to the message that has made me happy. Sometimes it is hard to strive to always have the spirit with us but it is what was promised to us when we were baptized to it obviously is possible. By forgetting our mistakes in the past and working harder today we will have the spirit with us in whatever we do. I am really excited for general conference I don't know if I am ready for it because I haven't finished with the past general conference there were so many good talks given. But I am excited to hear what they will have to say.
Well I don't know what to write or type I guess. Bryson still looks like a punk that is always flexing even though we know he isn't THAT strong.. haha no he is getting huge! It is the end of transfers this week and I am pretty sure I am staying at least one more. I think maybe 2 who knows. but I will print pictures and send them to you in a package.
I love you and thanks for being such an awesome mom. Tell the family I say hi and that I am writing a letter for Tyla today. Thanks and have an awesome week.

March 21, 2011

Hi,

So I have learned in leaps and bounds this week it was such a good week for me. I was such a pesimest last week please forgive me for that. This week went by really fast so on Tuesday I was in Belmont on tours and then on Wednesday we had a leadership meeting. Me and a couple other elders I came out with were the youngest ones there and it was such a blessing to be with other missionaries and to learn from them. I learned a ton about teaching. I always felt like I was the worst teacher. Now I think I am somewhat figuring it out. I am not the best but I am improving.
So this week was a crazy week. We stayed really busy and had a lot of fun. We mostly have been teaching lessons and trying to figure out how to get our investigators progressing more. We are still teaching Jian and he is okay just searching. He doesn't know too much about religion so we are trying to teach him how to find his own answers. Also we are teaching Jim again from my first transfer. I don't know if you remember but I might have told you last week. We taught him twice and he still has a really bad back. He came to sacrament meeting though and I think that it was a big deal for him. I am hoping that some things can go better for him so he can start coming to all 3 hours again. Then there is another girl we are teaching her name is Roxanne and it was our first time teaching her yesterday the sisters were teaching her but then everything got switched around so we are teaching her. We took some amazing members with us that testified to her but she is really scientific so we have to explain what faith is to her. Those are mostly our investigators right now.
Then so in the Charles River ward a girl named Caroline Jacobs came up to me and she is Ms. Jacobs daughter. . my middle school teacher. It was cool. Ms Jacobs was one of my favorites. She was so nice. And also we had a lesson with one of Anatoly's friends that mostly just speaks Russian it was weird because we had translators to translate what we said. It was cool though and Anatoly brought another friend to church with him yesterday. She is from Ukraine and she is a professional Archer and was in the Olympics. She looks like a Princess warrior from movies haha. . Anatoly is so awesome always bringing friends to church whether they speak English or not.
A lot happened this week. I wish I could write it all down. One other thing that we were able to do was we went to a wedding reception of a recent convert that was introduced to the church by his girlfriend one year ago. His name is Dominique and he is so cool he is from Scotland and I had known him but not too much and at his reception he came and talked to us for like 30 minutes telling us his testimony and he just recently went to the temple and he talked to us about all of that. He said that all of his friends that knew him before wonder what happened to him and why he is so happy now. It was just such a great story.
It was such a good week. We have been teaching and finding and working with the members. I feel like we are just a part of the ward now and that the members love us and say hi and talk with us. It is a great feeling as well as they are bringing friends to church so it is great. I just sometimes get stuck on myself which is a bad habit and feel sorry because it must be all my fault we aren't baptizing people and what not. But I need to not beat myself up and do better. It has been a problem I have had my whole life even in basketball. But I just need to do something for someone else. This morning I made breakfast for my companions and it made me feel better. Being on a mission is a emotional rollercoaster but it is the most fun thing I have ever done in my life it is a wonderful opportunity to be able to go out and think about others all day everyday.
And Ryo emailed me and said that they won their tournament and they are playing in Springfield Mass. He really wants me to come so I am going to call President and explain everything and see what he says. They are playing on Wednesday so who knows it is kinda short notice but that would be the greatest thing if i could go and watch him play. I'll let you know next Monday if I am able to go or not. Well take care . I love you and pray for all my family everyday. And I did get the package and it is great. I was wondering if I could get that every couple months or so? Would that be too much? Anyways I hope that you have a wonderful week. YOur the best mom I love you. Tell the family I say hi and that I love them.
Much Love
Elder Hunter

March 14, 2011

Hello,
This week was kinda crazy really fast. The time keeps on speeding up and it gets tough at times with all that is going on and trying to adjust to 2 different wards that meet at the same time. Right now we are working. . . but not hard enough. It is hard with 2 comps that are complete opposites. I think that Elder Yim and I were getting along too well and working too hard and the mission was becoming so fun and serving others that the Lord or president decided to put me in a 3 some. haha It is completely different in all forms of missionary work you have to teach balance 3 different people and contacting and traveling in 3 is a lot more noticeable. Sometimes I get frustrated with it all but I know that I am in this position for a reason and really have to focus on prayer and asking the lord for help.
This week was kind of a tough week. We had some good lessons scheduled that all of them fell through. So we ended up calling Jim who I taught in my first transfer and he hadn't seen missionaries or members from the church in like 4 months because he has a bad back and he lost everything that we had done and how far he came when we were meeting with him. Also we met with Ralph again this week and he went crazy too because he has no friends. Missionaries are his only friends and he doesn't talk to anyone except us. Missionaries before didn't meet with him.
It is weird because we meet all of these different people and they all are great people that have different mental disabilities and so when they talk to people they sound crazy. It is sad to see at how many people judge them and avoid them because of the way that they are. For me so far of all of the people that I have talked to that seem a little crazy it is because they have been missing one factor in their life and that is love. They never had anyone that loved them. And I can go and talk to some of these people and just by asking them questions about them, about their life about their hobbies and how they feel you can really realize that they are real people and that they are loved by Heavenly Father. In Mosiah 18 it talks about the covenant of baptism and it tells how we are supposed to mourn with those that mourn and comfort those in need. Well there are a lot of people all over the world who are in need and that is why if everyone was unified then the world would be a better place.
The members we have are great and our wards are just awesome. It will be a hard but really fast transfer that will go by quick. I just need to make sure to make the most of it. Well so far I think that this week was a tough one mostly of just readjusting to different things and what not and that this coming week it will get better and be more satisfying.
It isn't raining too much here. I think it is supposed to this week though. The weather is getting nicer and nicer but not quite warm yet. I can't wait for it to be warm then everyone will know we are Mormons in our short sleeve white shirts and ties and people will know who we are. The warm weather is a lot more fun to prosylete in and to find then in the cold. I almost feel bad trying to stop people in the freezing cold wind here.
So one cool thing happened this week that was one of the members in the Charles River Ward her name is Anni Li from Taiwan- - - she fed us and she made an all out meal that was so awesome and then we had a couple nonmembers there that we could share our testimonies with and that is always fun to do. This week wasn't super exciting but I learned a lot and have strengthened my testimony.
As for that mostly everything is still the same. Our investigators aren't progressing as I would like and we aren't finding too many people to teach but the good thing is that we have people to teach that are willing to try what we have and we can invite them and do the best we know how.
I am super excited for Mckay he is such a stud and also for Bryson. A lot of my friends have been asking me for his email or address, but I don't have it and they are all praying for him and worried about him. But we know everything with him will be okay. Sorry my Emails are getting shorter. I will try to get some better stories this week :) Well, I love you so much mom and thank you for everything that you do for me you are an amazing person. Tell Dad and the rest of the family Hi for me and that I love them too.

Much love Elder Beau Hunter

March 7, 2011

Hello Mom and Family,
Well this week was crazy... So we just had transfers a week ago and then something happened and one of the missionaries had to go home. So one of our roommates had to leave to cover another area and his comp left as well so we were in a 2 elder apartment that was way nice and quiet. But then since our roommates left there were 2 singles wards that still needed to be covered. So our zone got together to figure everything out which to me seemed worthless and people were kinda selfish because there are some wards better to be in then others. Well president was the one to make the final decision and it was crazy. So they brought back one of the my roommates and I am back in a trio covering the same ward and the Charles River ward again. The tricky part is that they both meet at the same exact time in different places so it is just going to be crazy and go by fast. I was so excited to just keep the same area for once with my same comp we were doing really good, but oh well, I think that the Lord doesn't want me to have it too easy here in the city. My two comps are both newer to the mission than me and they are polar opposites Elder Yim is amazing and 100 miles an hour all the time. And Elder Larsen my new comp is a little slower as fast as he moves and he is less serious about anything. He is a really good missionary though with a great testimony. It will be a lot of fun working with them but it will be hard making all three of us get along well.
It was a great week though we met with some of our investigators and I had the most awkward lesson of my life. So we teach two of our investigators at Northeastern campus in their building where they do all of their studying and it is like in the foyer with like couches and stuff and there are always people walking around. Well we were teaching the law of chastity and it was so funny cause Elder Yim has a louder voice and he was explaining everything to them almost in detail and people were walking by looking at us funny and stuff. Oh my gosh it was so funny and the investigators are chinese and they were kinda just laughing and what not because Elder Yim was using too much detail. Anyways that is the funny story of the week.
The Miracle of the week was that Joel the guy we are teaching from Israel came to church yesterday it was so awesome. He went to the family ward so that way he could get to work still and he loved it. We weren't able to make it with him but he called us last night to tell he went and he liked it a lot and that he would come to FHE tonight. I was way excited he really told us how he felt in our lesson on Saturday that he loves coming into our church and feeling the spirit but he just has to get work off so he can come to church and learn more. I am way excited for that. He is the most amazing spiritually in-tune guy I have met.
Well also another cool story that I want to tell you that goes way back to like the first month I was out. One day Elder Sorel and I were street contacting when a guy came up to us and he was reading from the Bible on his phone and read some conterversial scripture from Galatians and started talking to us. He then told us that he had read Moroni 10:3-5 and that the holy spirit told him that the Book of Mormon wasn't true. And that is when we talked to him about intent and having real intent when you read and pray. Well fast forward to like 2 months ago we saw him at church and he said he had a friend who brought him. And he has been taking the lessons and will probably be baptized within the next two weeks in the university ward. Everytime he sees me at the church he just starts laughing because he remembers what he did when he first saw us. That is way cool to see how much the gospel has changed him. He has a really awesome whole story and I was glad to be able to meet him and see how much he changed.
Well that is so awesome Mckay made JV and is sitting Varsity he is such a stud. And Kyle and Anson came over for burritos Kyle is awesome and a great kid he helps a lot of people. He will be a really good missionary. And Tyla is still playing basketball and you are still coaching that is so cool and probably a lot of fun. She is awesome. And thank you for the protein and vitamins. They help a lot with me having energy during the day because we don't get that much money to buy good food and the members usually feed us pizza and basic food because they are all college students that are busy. Also i bought some things with the credit card this past week like 30 dollars you can take money out of my account to pay it back we didn't get our money till later than the first and i had to buy some things.
I was thinking about when I was a little kid and how I was so shy and I couldn't talk to anyone this week and thinking about how awesome you guys were to help me become the person that I am now. I have an amazing family that I have been so blessed to have. Especially you and dad have taught me everything and made me the person that I am today. Thank you so much and I love you. Let me know if there is anything i can do to help Brandon. I will send a letter to you guys for him this week.

Hi Mom and Family,
IT sounds like you are staying busy and working hard like always. So I think I got your email finally and that is cool. It seems like you guys are doing a lot of cool things. It made me laugh to hear about Bryson unlocking iphones he is so smart. I am glad that he is doing better. I pray for him every night. I did get your package and it rocked. I gave half the food to my companion and I kept the banana bread for myself. haha It was greedy of me but I had to do it.
Did Provo not make it to state this year? That is a shame!! Well they will do better next year. And I hear about BYU all the time from members. I have one member that starts talking about BYU for like 20 minutes to me after church. He always finds me and tells me how Brandon and Kyle are doing it is funny. From what he says they both seem to be doing very well. And I am not offended by that facebook post. It was funny. I don't think we get rejected really but more people aren't yet ready or in the right position to receive the gospel. We just can be the first step to helping them to receive the gospel.
This week has been hard for me. We have like 5 investigators and none of them showed up to church and none seem to be progressing. It is hard for me sometimes because I try so hard and feel like I am not doing a good enough job. Even though it isn't me that is teaching or should be teaching but rather the spirit, I still think that it is my fault. I am trying to do different things. Mostly I need to get my investigators to read from the Book of Mormon daily. If people do that then they can gain their own testimony. I know that the atonement will make up for my imperfections though so I am not too worried but will just work harder.
And yes I am district leader but it isn't anything different than being a normal missionary so it is good. I just have to make sure that everything that I say and do is in line with the missionary rules so that people can follow and know that I am here to serve our Heavenly Father. I have a lot of awesome missionaries in my district too. They all have been out longer than me except Elder Yim.
Elder Yim is awesome he is such a stud. I learn so much from him and we are getting along really well now. I had a problem the first half of my misison where I would judge my companions on every mistake or rule they broke, but now I have realized that ever missionary out here has their own problems and they all want to do their best and it is our job to get along no matter what so we can have the spirit with us at all times. but Elder Yim doesn't break a single rule he is super awesome and we have a lot of fun together.
So I was hoping for the spring time but yesterday it snowed like 6 inches and today it is raining on the snow. I am ready for the warm weather already! IT is driving me crazy all this cold and going out in the rain and getting soaked.
I love our ward they are so great and willing to do anything that we ask from them. When we have people at church they are fellowshipped extremely well and I have made a lot of friends in the ward that we can talk and discuss the work. I just realized the other day at how many different people I have met by serving in 3 different singles wards it is crazy! A lot of good examples for me on how to be active and part of the church.
Well that is all that really happened this week. My emails are getting boring so pray that something sweet will happen for me like a sweet person that wants to be baptized or something. haha. I will try to do better to send more of what is happening. and also I made a goal to write a letter to at least one person in the family every week on p-day. So I think I will write Bryson today. Also we had an Apostle Elder Christofferson and Elder Costa and Bishop Burton come out and talk to us this weekend it was so sweet they are so awesome and very funny. I was scared they were going to tell us that we didn't have enough faith to baptize people. They were extremely supportive and very loving and encouraging which was good for me. It was a priviledge to shake hands and hear their testimonies.
Well I love you guys and keep being so awesome. Thank you so much mom love you and take care! Have a wonderful week and I will email next week.

Hello Family,
So I didn't get an email :( (Note from Mom: I really sent one with too many attachments that ldsmail rejected it, so he didn't get it in time.) It is okay hopefully by Monday I will. I know you guys are way busy and that you are all so awesome. I hope that everything is going well with you guys.
This week was awesome we had a lot going on and we have a good amount of investigators to teach which also is really good and cool. Nothing too exciting happened. We had transfers and Elder Yim and I are staying together which I am way pumped up about. Him and I have been getting along and becoming way unified recently and that is way sweet. I cannot wait to stay and learn more from him and also to stay in the same ward and work together.
We are going to set some good goals for this transfer to help us to become better missionaries and also better servants of the Lord. Also to try our faith we are thinking about setting a goal for numbers of people that we should find and teach and what not.
One really cool thing was that we were teaching an investigator about the plan of salvation and we just taught very basic and they asked some questions and it was so fun to answer and to realize the plan that has been made for us and the love that is shown through the plan. It really made me think about how much Heavenly Father loves us and he cares about us all no matter what happens. IF we can give it our best and do the best that we can then the Lord will help us out. It makes it so that we can always look at things from the positive side and take a different perspective at things.
I am excited for this weekend we have Elder Christofferson coming out to speak to our mission. It is going to be so sweet to hear from a quorum of the twelve. Also, Elder Costas from the Presidency of the Seventy and Bishop Burton are coming out so that is way sweet as well we will be able to hear from all of them. I will tell you on how everything goes next week.
Well I am hoping to send some pictures home and letters to everyone this week or next week. Depending on if we can get everything done that we need to, also I am almost out of protein if you wouldn't mind sending more and some vitamins as well that would be great but you don't have to that is not a neccessary at all and just a want. I will email you on Monday again. Love you a ton and thank you for everything that you do for me I greatly appreciate it.

Hello Family,

This week we have had an awesome time. It went by really fast too. We have 3 really good investigators that I think 2 will get baptized. One is from China and his name is Jian Xiong. He is super cool studying mechanical engineering at Northeastern University for a year as an exchange student. It is awesome. We are teaching him how to pray and just the basics of things. I love it so much by teaching the simple basic truths so many great things are coming and it strengthens our testimony.
Then we are teaching Andrew and he is so cool just needs to come to church he came last week and said he will come this week but didn't. I was so sad. He text us and said that he over slept. Oh well there is next week and we are planning on having a great lesson with him this week.
Some cool or funny things we did this week. So first last p-day we went to the science museum and it was super cool and lots of fun. It is the biggest museum ever and I learned a lot. Then on Thursday we went to Springfield for zone conference and it was super good. President talked about combining the missions and that he would just send half of us down to Conneticut and bring half of them here in July it will be a crazy transfer. Then on Friday we had tours and I went with the other district leader Elder Jones for a day in Belmont. We had a lot of success. We gave out 6 Book of Mormons just knocking on doors. Also a funny story happened on tours. WE were knocking doors and this old chinese lady opened the door and so I started talking the little chinese I know and she invited us in and I was explaining who we were in chinese and called Elder Yim on the phone to talk with her. As he was talking on the phone with her another old chinese lady walked in and so I started practicing my chinese with her. She was impressed and thought I could understand and so she started talking back and I didn't understand so she was practically yelling at me. It was so funny. Elder Jones and I were covering our mouths so they didn't see us laughing. Then we finally got out of there and I realized that what I was saying in chinese at the start was that "I was Jesus Christ".... Oh man I couldn't believe it. I told Elder Jones and we were laughing so hard. Elder Yim explained to them on the phone who we were though so it isn't bad.
That was the funny story of the week and the spiritual story of the week was that we have been meeting with some of our chinese student investigators and talking to them about prayer. They both have had amazing experiences with prayer one whose name is Hua his dad is dying of cancer in china and he is going back this week to visit him. Well he said that one night he prayed and that right after he finished praying he was talking to someone back home and they said that they might have found a cure for his dad's cancer. IT was so sweet. And the other was Jian Xiong who said that he was at the bus stop and remembered to pray and he prayed then when he sat on the bus there was a book about Jesus Christ next to him that he picked up and started to read. IT wasn't one of our books but still it is amazing that it happened and any book for him is good because he started with no religious background at all.
Also Saturday night we went to Elder Yim's cousins house for a chinese new year dinner it was funny everyone was yelling in cantonese which I don't understand at all. But the food was good and it was definitely a great experience.
Well I won't email you till next Wednesday so take care and be safe. I love you all and I will send pictures to you soon I have a bunch that I need to print off and send. I will do that this week. Love you and thank you for everything that you do.

January 31, 2011

Hi Mother,
So life out here is great. The snow is nothing with that big coat it is like walking with fur on like the animals, I don't feel a thing. We are smart about planning so we aren't outside when it is too cold. I'm glad that everyone is doing well at home that is funny Tyla and her friends throwing gummies on the ceiling. We always would throw them on the wall and we never were smart enough to get them stuck on the ceiling. And Mckay is a rockstar. He always seems to have a game winner every year. He is so awesome. Bryson should keep on working on grades.
Well today so far we went to the DMV so Elder Yim could take a permit test. He wants to get his drivers license here so I went and he failed. I felt so bad for him. He has been reading the book at night and lunch and dinner for like a month. Oh well he is awesome.
This week has been a really good week we have a new investigator that I am so excited about his name is Joel and he is from Israel. He is so cool and every lesson that we teach him is just amazing. He tells me lots of things about Israel and the history there. It has some quite interesting things there and now I want to go there and see all of the things there. Well that is my favorite thing that happened is that we are now teaching him. He has to work with his work schedule first before he can come to church but I think he is in tune enough with the spirit to get baptized.
We also had our first English class and only 3 people showed up, but it was still way fun we just talked about ourselves and I brought those pictures of our family that you sent and showed them. They thought it was amazing I had siblings because they are all from China and have the one child policy. We had a lot of fun and are expecting more people to come the next time we meet for English class.
This morning we went to the sports museum in the TD Garden it was cool. Elder Yim has been wanting to go since he has been here so we went and he loved it. He doesn't know how to play baseball or football so I have to explain to him the rules. Another funny thing that happened (well it was kinda funny for me) was that Elder Yim got sick. Well the reason that he got sick was because he was eating everything that I was eating and I ate like 6 or 7 meals that day and he couldn't move the next morning forever. Poor guy he is too small to eat like I do.
The snow here doesn't melt so there is like 3 feet everywhere and covering everything. It is crazy!! But the people here are nice and I am learning a lot of how to be the best missionary that I can be. Recently I have been studying about the Holy Ghost and answers to prayers, but I think you could share about Christ healing everyone in 3rd nephi 17 and apply it to how he can heal us of any pain not just physical pain if we repent and come unto him. Well that is just a thought. I find that when we teach with Christ as the center you can never go wrong.
We got some interesting news today that the Hartford Conneticuit mission is closing down in July and merging with our mission. I think that is crazy we will have a huge mission with a lot of things to do and places that I could go. I am excited to expand the mission but it is sad to see one close down. We have an apostle coming out here at the end of February and I also am very excited for that.
We saw a huge demonstration to free Eygpt or something. It was crazy like 3,000 maybe, I don't know exactly, but it was kinda scary. This email is kind of everywhere but I thought that I would just write real quick everything or at least some of the main things that happened this week that stood out to me while thinking back on it. Well thank you for everything that you do for me and I could never thank you enough your the greatest. Take care and I will write next week.
Much Love,
Elder Hunter

January 24, 2011

It is good to hear about everyone and it seems like they are all doing well. It is absolutely freezing here. I guess that today and yesterday were the coldest days they have had in years. It is 0 degrees with a wind chill making it feel like 25 below 0. or something we only hear the rumors on weather. There is a frostbite warning to not stay out too much today either. But the coat keeps me plenty warm and we are always walking so we stay warm enough.
This week was good we are still working like crazy but we only had one investigator at church. It is hard with all these foreign students because they are here for only one year and they are locked in labs from like 8 in the morning till 9 at night it seems like they want to make the most of their time in the labs studying. They make time to meet with us though which is good. We have so much to do and different things that I feel like I barely have time to think. I am learning how to be more organized though which is good. I definitely needed to learn that. Also we had interviews with President this week and they went really well. President is the nicest guy ever! He just is so humble and when you ask him a question he gives the best responses. It is a priviledge to meet him and serve with him.
Everyday though still I see miracles and think I am learning how to be a better missionary slowly but surely. It is funny because right as I feel like I am getting the hang of something out here I get a new companion or have to cover a different ward and I learn that I know nothing. But it is great how much courage I have to talk to people on the street now. I used to have some fear but now I try to talk to everyone. It is exhausting though trying to talk to everyone I really have to make sure to spiritually prep myself and sometimes I don't do the best. I know I could've but I try to improve everyday and have to repent a lot. I think that serving in Boston is the best place for me to serve where I can learn so much. Being in the city for 6 months is quite the challenge though because it takes so much effort and you always have to be on your toes to be ready to talk with the next person. I am trying to keep my enthusiasm up and make it grow rather than ever to let it die down.
One really really cool thing that happened this week was that Jessica was finally baptized! She was an investigator in my first ward that was investigating for 2 years. I forgot my camera but wanted to send a picture. It was great all baptisms are so awesome I love them all they are great spiritual experiences.
Well I am doing great and I think that if you sent banana bread that would be wonderful:) Or any of your cookies. But you don't have to send anything I don't need anything. Well I love you. Thanks for your love and support. Take care and talk to you soon.
Love

January 18, 2011

Hi Mother,
So I emailed last Thursday so it hasn't been too long but I feel like a lot has happened and I am going to try to tell you everything that happened. Well Elder Black was transferred to the LP1 Ward and moved just down the street and he covers the singles wards of everything south of the Charles River. So now Elder Yim and I have just the LP2 ward which is just Cambridge and everything north of the Charles so mostly just Harvard and MIT. I am glad that we are now just covering one ward. Having two wards was hard especially since they met at the same time for church. Especially for me because I feel like I know nothing about how to do missionary the best most effective way.
Only having one ward will be fun to try to experiment on some new things on how to really get the work moving and the members motivated. We have the best ward though they are all great people and great missionaries. This week was funny so Elder Yim and I stop every Chinese person on the street till Elder Yim can talk with them and get their phone number. This week we had 5 Chinese investigators at church and our ward just is all of their best friends and they love it. One of the guys at church was really cool. We had a dinner appointment with Eric the ward mission leader of Charles River ward and he thought maybe I was going to get transferred so he had us over for dinner. We ate there and then left kinda late. Right as we walked out of his apartment building we saw a guy and I kinda called after him to see if he wanted a card. I gave him a card and he was from Taiwan but had very good English. He then told us that he had about 8 of those cards and didn't know what to do with them. It was sweet! We ended up inviting him to church and giving him a Book of Mormon. He came to church and really liked what he saw and said that he wants to learn from us. It was a cool experience that if we make the little extra effort that we will be blessed and the Lord will provide.
Also we have another investigator that we are working with he is from Seattle and met Elder Koerper on the bus and he is such a nice guy we have taught him 3 times and set a baptismal date for him. He still needs to read and pray about the Book of Mormon but he is super cool. We were able to get him to a dinner appointment on Sunday night with us at a members so he could meet some people in our church and I think he really loved the atmosphere there.
Also we have 3 other lessons projected to non Chinese investigators this week of people that we met on the street. Hopefully they turn out well. It is amazing how a ward like LP2 could go from having nothing to having so much in such a little time. Elder Yim and I are just having a blast and are working as hard and as smart as we can. At the start of this transfer we set goals of obedience to help us with the work and so far we have been doing a pretty good job and seeing success. I have decided that this area has tons of people ready to receive the gospel we just have to be willing to show the Lord that he can trust us. I don't know if I have fully done that but it is what I am striving for.
We are also in the process of starting a class where we teach English. We talked with some of the Chinese investigators and they said that they would love to come to an English class where we just talk English and they can practice. The good thing is that they all live with other Chinese and they all will probably bring a friend with them. President said that I can learn Chinese so I have been studying on how to learn it. I can kind of share my testimony in Mandarin but pronunciation is so much different then English. Elder Yim just laughs at me when I practice. I hope that I can stay in this area my whole mission it is a lot fun.
The weather this week isn't looking so promising. It is snowy today and supposed to turn into an ice storm and tomorrow it is suppose to snow as well as on Friday and Saturday it should be like 17 at the high. The cold isn't too bad when we are talking to people so hopefully we can talk with lots of different people to keep us warm. Also a member from LP1 ward gave us a bunch of hand warmers it was so nice of him.
Two nights ago we had a fireside that brother Clayton Christensen talked at. He is so awesome, he talked about missionary work and how to do it when you aren't a missionary. He gave some simple things that he used on people and different ways to be successful as a member missionary. One thing that really struck me was that he said that people often separate work and church. Like it is two different languages. Then he said that the gospel of Jesus Christ will never tell you to not learn anything that is not true.
Well Thank you so much for everything that you do for me you are the best! Also I had dinner with a senior couple named the Excells they are from Ogden and are the employment specialists in the area and he coached at Ben Lomen high school in Ogden and is good friend with Coach Drury. He said that the team seems to be doing bad this year. It is sad that they aren't doing good, but I feel like you always learn the most when you aren't succeeding. Tell Bryson to keep working hard and not to give up but to just have fun at the same time. He is a stud. Well I hope that everything is going well you guys are in my prayers!

Love you tons.

January 13, 2011

Hi Mom,
Well, as you already know I am not getting transferred. I am so blessed to be able to stay in the city. Singles wards are hard but they also have a ton of potential. I think that I will figure this out better and have more success. I feel like I am slowly getting the hang of things and it is a lot of fun. This past week we had 4 investigators at church. . . all of them Chinese. It is funny because I always try to jump in front of any Asian people till Elder Yim is close enough to talk to them. They are all looking for religion. And since Elder Yim and I are together another transfer I am going to try to persuade president to let me focus on learning Chinese since we teach almost all Chinese. It will be really cool if I can. . . . if not I will still learn for as much as I can during my spare time and the Lord knows what is best. . so I'm not worried.
So the storm yesterday was crazy we had tons of snow like almost two feet. The snow here is super heavy and really wet. It is crazy like 4 inches on the power lines and the trees. There were broken branches everywhere. Today there are ice pieces falling from the trees everytime the wind blows it is really crazy.
We haven't had too much done lately cause we were stuck in the house yesterday and just left in the morning to the apple store for a second because we didn't receive the text that we couldn't leave yet. We had a huge snow ball fight and that was so much fun. Except poor Elder Yim kept getting hit by Elder Koerper I felt so bad for him. I think that I won't be in a trio anymore at least I hope not it has been so much work and patience. I learned a ton from it but don't want to do it again. It will be a lot easier to keep the apartment clean with only 4 of us and not 5.
Well with new transfer starting we have set some good goals dealing with obedience. It will be good for us. Mostly just the daily schedule like going to bed on time and being ready for studies. I have realized how important having studies are especially for missionaries in the city. All day long everyday we are surrounded by temptation and the world and when you have had a good study you feel more ready and optimistic to take it head on and do your best but when you don't have good studies then it isn't so good.
It is good to hear that everyone is staying so busy. The more you have to do the better I think. And it is cool to hear Mckay's team is tearing it up. And as long as Tyla s team works hard and does their best everything there should be good and it is all worth it. As for Bryson tell him to keep playing in JV and to have fun. To go and play with a smile on his face and enjoy the moment for they don't usually last very long.
Also this morning I read Elder Hollands talk on gratitude from the past general conference. I think that one is my favorite talk in conference just because of how Elder Holland talks with so much passion and authority. He talks about how his dad and mom paid for his mission and that his mom took a job outside of the house while he was gone and she had never worked outside of the house her whole life. She did this so he could go on a mission. It made me think of you and dad and how much you guys have done for me my whole life. You guys have always been there to give me whatever I needed or wanted, so I wanted to say thanks for everything. Well I love you a ton Mom .

Take care and be safe.

HI mom! I just thought I'd send another quick email. I didn't get transferred which is good. I love the city and things are starting to get going. Elder Black is getting transferred so I don't know if I am going to be in a trio anymore (hopefully not). Also it is snowing like crazy outside like 1 and 1/2 feet and more is falling it is supposed to snow till tomorrow morning. I will probably write more tomorrow if not I will for sure on monday.

Love you tons take care. Elder Hunter

January 3, 2011

Hi Mom:)
Well that is great that everyone is working hard and still staying busy. You are getting crazier and crazier now that I am gone. I think I was the one who kept you and dad sane. (haha just playing). Well I will admit that this week was the hardest week of my mission. I have been feeling sick lately and have a huge headache every day I think I am getting a cold then I was getting up at six to work out and that wasn't helping too much either. So I decided to go to bed early this whole week like around 10 or 1030 and get up at 630 to work out. It helped some and I have been eating a lot of oranges to try to boost my vitamin C. Today i feel better which is good and a great start to the week.
The more I look at it, sports doesn't mean anything it just teaches lots of life skills and how to deal with them. Tell Mckay and Bryson to hit the books hard that is where you can accomplish the most. That is what I am learning out here with all the smart MIT and Harvard students. Also I told Tyrell I would write him a letter. I will send it to him probably this week or next. Hopefully this week. He wanted me to send him a letter when I was out for a while and let him know how it is and how hard it is and what not.
So this week is the 4 week of the transfer and I won't email till next Wednesday. It is crazy at how fast the transfers are going by. I love my two companions but I really am hoping that I only have one next transfer. It is so hard having 3 different opinions on everything I have really learned how to humble myself and realize that my opinion is not always right and that I don't always get everything my way. We are working hard and I have been doing my best to serve my companions as much and as often as I can. It is hard sometimes when I don't feel like I am getting anything in return but I realize that service shouldn't expect a thanks or anything in return. It was a lot of fun on New Years. Elder Yim and I made dinner for the whole apartment. We got some chicken legs from service that I cooked then Elder Yim made rice and deviled eggs. It was cool to eat. I am a pretty good cook I think, but I am working on eating healthier and limiting the oil and meat that I consume.
Well I have so many things to tell you that happened it is crazy. One new thing that I have started doing is that every night I write down a miracle that happened during the day it is a pretty good habit and a super eye opener to how much we are blessed by Heavenly Father. I will share some of the miracles that happened this week. First was Anatoly who was just baptized we hadn't heard from him since his baptism which was 2 weeks and he wasn't at church but we received a call from him saying he was in New York and that he found the church there and went there and that was just a small miracle of something that I had been praying for.
Another thing that happened was so cool. There was this guy I met on the street it was like a 30 second contact where he said he wanted to come to church and what not. I got his number and he couldn't make it to church and I have so many numbers in my planner I sometimes lose track of people or kind of give up. I had called him the night before and he didn't answer. Then it was Sunday and I went on splits to the Charles River Ward my first ward and it was a last minute emergency type thing for splits and as I went to the bus stop I ran into this guy. He was super cool and remembered me and was telling me about how he had a rough life and was trying to change he was going out of town and said he would come to church next week. It was another small miracle.
The last one I will write about happened on Thursday it was a super hard day and I was dead by night we were traveling home from a dinner appointment and I was just talking to Elder Black on the subway how we could do better with the ward. Then this lady came up to us and asked for a Book of Mormon. She said she went to the opening of the temple and that it was beautiful and she wanted to figure things out for herself. Nobody has ever approached me on my mission for something like that. Then that same night I ran into a guy that I had talked to like 3 or 4 times. He was from Germany and only here for 3 months for a research team. He was super cool and nice but had no interest in the church the first few times I ran into him. He wouldn't even take a card. Well he was on the subway too so I talked with him for a while and asked how things were going he said he was going back to Germany in a couple days and was excited. He then started asking about missionary work and what we do and what not. I considered him my friend by then and talked with him then at the end I was prompted by the spirit to give him a Book of Mormon. I was able to share my testimony with him and how the book has helped me in my life so much. He gladly took it and said that he would read it.
There are so many miracles that are hard to see if we are thinking about ourselves all the time. Miracles happen everyday. I don't have enough faith to expect them like I should, but I am working on it. It is a lot of fun seeing the reality of the church and the gospel. We can all just get our priorities straight then the world will be a way better place. Also so for you too read the Book of Mormon by June, all you need to read is 1 chapter a day and 2 chapters on the short ones. We read it in 6 months as a mission with one chapter a day and it is cool being constantly reminded of the faith building stories and doctrine contained in the Book of Mormon.
Well I love you so much mom and the rest of the family. I have received lots of Christmas cards recently and it has been really nice to hear from people family and friends. I have been blessed to have such amazing people in my life. I will write them all back soon hopefully I am behind on letters like 10 and wont have much time today. :-/

Hello Family,
Well I talked to you recently and I don't have too much to say Sunday and yesterday it was snowing like crazy and we were red dotted and weren't supposed to leave the house. We got like 18 inches of snow and today it is sunny and like 35 degrees so it isn't bad anymore. It is pretty fun I love the snow. Also we had dinner on Christmas night with a family from a different ward in our stake since we have like 4 people total in our wards home right now because they are all students. The family was super cool. It was some really good food and they were so nice and wonderful people. Lately we are just trying like crazy to find people that are interested in the gospel I think that is what I am going to do a lot of for the next two years haha. But I meet so many cool people that it is fun now and just natural for me to try to talk with everyone.
I am trying to listen to promptings of the spirit lately and it is hard to figure out if it is just me or the spirit. I know that if i am trying my hardest and having fun and being obedient then everything will be fine and I will be lead. Also I have realized that I judge people too much before I really know them and I am working super hard at fixing it. I didn't realize how much I did it. The mission is great and I am learning so much so fast Well I hope you have a fantastic new years with lots of fun. I love you guys and really enjoyed talking to everyone they all seem like they are doing so great.
Also I have started to wake up at 6 to work out harder I am pretty sure I want to walk on somewhere when I get home I don't know where yet though.
Also grandma sent me some chocolates and money for Christmas. I am going to write a letter to her soon but tell her that I got it and thank you if you get a chance to talk to her.
Well I love you ,
